I have noticed a growing trend in members trying to claim credits for codes that they have nor found.......a term we generally call modding

This is starting to really annoy myself and some of the other coders. If it continues, quite simple what will happen is that nothing will get released. All codes will just go in the VIP/coding section where we all trust and respect each other. We are already starting to build up a few in there.

So what do we mean by modding?

Quite simply, if you have not searched and found a code yourself, then you cannot claim it.

One obvious example of this is where a simple value mod occurs. e.g flash, faster flash, even faster flash, fastest flash ever.....etc.

Similarly, we have lots of float mods happening. If you change the value of a float address then something quite different can happen. Again, credit is really for the original find of the address. Feel free to try out different values and then post, but do not try to say you found it yourself.

The finding is in the finding of the address!!

We also have a growing use of 'universal' frameworks for writing subroutines now. These are easy to spot as there is obviously no knowledge of registers etc. I have even seen some people try to claim credit for a button mod (OMG :rolleyes. Again, if this keeps happening, the people who make the codes will not release them for you to use in your 'subroutines'

Feel free to experiment with these, but always give credit to the original codemaker please.

The last issue that I have noticed is the 'close to' type of codes. With some use of ps2dis, it is quite easy to nop or JR RA another address which gives the same effect as an already released code. We are not stupid and this is also really easy for us to spot. If this keeps happening, once again these neat little locations will not be revealed.

It is great to see so many people making, using and learning about the art of making codes on this site. But just remember to respect the guys who actually find these codes

Thank you Smile

Break any And will goive you a warnning but when it continus i will have to ban you and the max is 5 days. But i can put it for more
